Devoted followers of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a fence and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Well-being

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two contrasting characters.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, winning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
