Larian Studios Explains Its Implementation of AI Tools for Upcoming Divinity

The studio behind acclaimed titles like Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin just shown its next major project, generating significant anticipation within the player base. However, subsequent statements from the company's lead designer have introduced nuance to the narrative, focusing on the studio's approach toward generative artificial intelligence.

Augmenting Workflows, Not Cutting Jobs

In a new clarification, the studio's founder detailed that the company is using generative AI for specific ancillary functions. These encompass fleshing out PowerPoint slides, generating early-stage visual ideas, and writing temporary copy.

Crucially, Vincke emphasized that the end material in the game will be created entirely by real creatives. "Our team is developing everything in-house," he affirmed.
