The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated industry figure died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
